M. Sabina Segatori was born in Rome where she still lives. After graduation she concentrated her work on Interior Design and continued her photographic work especially abroad. She followed a course of Interior Design in London and carried out private assignments in Milan, Moscow, Rome and Brescia. In 1983 she started working for the cinema and was responsible for the interios design of numerous films by directors such as Margarethe Von Trotta, Klaus M.Brandauer, Francis F.Coppola, Marco Bellocchio, Alberto Sordi and Francesco Maselli. At the same time she worked in the advertisement field and did spots for Barilla, Fiat, Phas, Lux Soap, and Renault directed by Karol Reistz, Luciano Emmer andJaime De La Pena. As from 2005 she has been teaching Cinema Interior Design for the course of "Master di Cinematografia” at the "Istituto Europeo del Design" in Rome. Her
view of interior design has certainly been inspired by photography and
viceversa. In
the latest years she has made photographic reports in Yemen, Mali, Sri
Lanka, Namibia, Bali & Sulawesi, Guatemala, Guadalupa, Seychelles, Egypt,
Algeria, Oman and Canada. |
M. Sabina Segatori nasce a Roma, città in cui risiede. Dopo la Laurea, si dedica all¹Arredamento e continua i suoi reportages fotografici soprattutto all’estero. Segue un Corso di Interior Design a Londra e realizza arredamenti privati a Milano, Mosca, Roma e Brescia. Nel 1983 inizia la professione cinematografica e firma l¹arredamento di numerosi film tra cui quelli di Margarethe Von Trotta, Klaus M.Brandauer, Francis F.Coppola, Marco Bellocchio, Alberto Sordi e Francesco Maselli. Contemporaneamente, in campo pubblicitario, firma, tra gli altri, spot per Barilla, Fiat, Phas, Lux Soap, e Renault diretti da Karol Reistz, Luciano Emmer e Jaime De La Pena. Ha insegnato Arredamento Cinematografico al “Master di Cinematografia” dell’Istituto Europeo del Design di Roma. Oltre a reportage fotografici in Yemen, Mali, Sri Lanka, Namibia, Bali & Sulawesi, Guatemala, Guadalupa, Seychelles, Egitto, Algeria, Oman, Canada e Italia, ha realizzato Mostre, Eventi e Progetti su commissioni italiane ed estere. Oggi, dopo una lunga ricerca personale che l’ha portata ad esplorare diversi linguaggi espressivi, fotografare è diventata la sua esclusiva attività.
